Thanks to fellow Windows Insider MVP Harjit Dhaliwal, I just learned that Microsoft is offering free Azure Training and the associated cert exam (AZ-900) to anyone who can get signed up for same. It’s first-come, first-serve, so you’ll want to take a look at dates and availability if this is something that interests you. The training is on Azure Fundamentals, and lasts for 6 hours. Find the sign-up information at the Azure Events page. (I show a snippet as the lead-in graphic for this story, filtered to show online events only.)
Visit the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals page for access to live links shown in the preceding image.

More About Azure Fundamentals
The best thing about the sign-up — if you can get in — is that it includes a free exam voucher. You can already follow the MS Learning Path (21 modules) to get the Azure Fundamentals training for free. The exam (AZ-900) normally costs US$99 (actual price varies by currency and location for those who sign up). I guess this a way for MS to help people stay busy during the stay-at-home phase of our pandemic response, while spreading the word about Azure as well. Who knows: they may be just setting the hook to reel IT pros in for more advanced (and more costly training and certification for any of the other four-dozen-plus certifications listed under the Azure category also available through Microsoft Learning).
As the old saying goes: “Act Fast.” According to Harjit, virtual seats are filling up rapidly. If Azure is something you need to learn, or just want to learn more about, please check it out. But don’t wait: do it NOW!
