DaRT 10 – How to deploy

To be able to use DaRT 10 in your organization to assist your users, it needs to be deployed. When it comes to deploying DaRT 10, you have several options. You can create  bootable media (USB ( CD / DVD) to be delivered to each location, have each location  create one from an ISO, make it available as a remote partition, or even add it to your deployment image as part of the recovery partition.

The Easy Way

Create a DaRT 10 Recovery Image as an ISO and make it available to all locations. Local IT support at each location should then create a bootable USB / CD / DVD from it. When assistance is needed and the help desk asks a user to boot to DaRT 10, all that user needs to do is to contact local IT support requesting DaRT 10 boot media, insert it in the PC in question, then boot from it.

DaRT 10 as part of a Recovery Partition

Extract the boot.wim file from the DaRT 10 ISO, deploy it as a recovery partition in your Windows 10 deployment image. Read more: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-desktop-optimization-pack/dart-v10/how-to-deploy-the-dart-recovery-image-as-part-of-a-recovery-partition-dart-10

DaRT 10 as a Remote Partition

If your organization is using Windows Deployment Services, you can store the DaRT 10 Recovery Image on a boot server and allow users or local IT support to stream it on-demand.
